Animas EMS
Animas EMS has proudly been serving the local communities for over 30 years. We provide coverage to the communities of Animas, Rodeo, Cloverdale, Windmill, Playas and Hachita as well as provide mutual aid to Cotton City & Lordsburg. Animas EMS is a volunteer department with 5 EMT’s providing 24/7 service while operating completely on a state EMS Grant.
We are NM PRC Certified and transport patients to Gila Regional Medical Center & Mimbres Memorial Hospital. We can also fly critical patients from anywhere in the county.

Southern Hidalgo County EMS (Animas, Cotton City & Playas) meet the fourth Thursday of every month. These meetings are for discussing business, reviewing protocols, policy & procedures as well as for training. Meetings are rotated between all three departments.
We are seeking community members interested in serving their communities by either being an ambulance driver, First Responder or EMT.
